As our nation commemorates the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, this special exhibition explores the Revolutionary Era through the lens of art, highlighting Hudson County’s unique role in America’s flight for independence.
Hudson County, which was then called Bergen County, was occupied by British forces from September 1776 to November 1783. Hudson County was a region where the realities of War and occupation shaped the experiences of the civilian population. This exhibition features works inspired by the resilience, sacrifice, and enduring pursuit of liberty that defined our nation’s founding.
