a few words about

Who We Are

The Hudson County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, lead by Director Gina Hulings, strives to create an environment in which the local arts constituency can flourish by providing advisory services, technical assistance, grant programs, audience development initiatives, artist round tables and networking opportunities, tourism and related economic development projects.

Over time, HCOCHA/TD has carefully curated committees and boards, such as the Hudson County Sports Hall of Fame Board, Hudson County History & Heritage Committee…

The Office, which is a team made up of nine civil servants, fosters pride in community by sponsoring tours and lectures on local heritage, promoting historic preservation, and presenting culturally diverse celebrations throughout the year. The team works closely with local non-profits, cultural groups and organizations, the Hudson County schools of technology and school districts throughout the County, the division of Hudson County Parks…

Tourism Development promotes and features the energetic blend of culture and ethnicities within our diverse County. Our vibrant art, music, theater, history, and food scenes make up our cozy and lively home, all of which sits on the majestic Hudson River with the unbeatable New York City skyline views. Just stone’s throw from Manhattan, Hudson County’s proximity to New York City and northern New Jersey is atop of the list of highlights for visitors. Its efficient network of mass transportation and intermodal connections to these areas provides visitors with the most convenient way of getting to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island in the metropolitan area, as well as the County’s very own popular attractions, including Liberty State Park, Liberty Science Center, the Colgate Clock, Mana Contemporary, Red Bulls Arena and more. With the help of our growing hospitality industry, we can easily become your home away from home with over 4,000 quality hotel rooms. Warm, welcoming residents and a growing number of travelers enjoy Hudson County’s unique, colorful experiences all year. Come join the fun!
