Hudson County Grants

One of the greatest things about Hudson County is the diversity of its population, which means that we have a rich variety of groups dedicated to the many facets of the performing and visual arts, local history, and to serving the needs of children and the most vulnerable among us. So to best serve our constituency, the Hudson County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs/Tourism Development (HCOCHA/TD) offers grant programs to non-profit organizations that help make them stronger and to allow them to offer high-quality programming to our residents. Specifically, HCOCHA/TD sponsors the Hudson County Local Arts Program (LAP)History Partnership Program (HPP) and the Arts in Education Program (AiEP).

These initiatives grant funds directly to qualifying non-profit organizations every year based on merit and financial need, which clearly demonstrate their commitment for:

  • Preserving and promoting the history of Hudson County and its 12 municipalities by producing or sponsoring historical programming of the highest quality and professionalism.
  • Clearly demonstrating their commitment to the arts in the County by producing or sponsoring arts programs and services of high artistic quality and professionalism.
  • Providing arts programming to Hudson County Schools by providing arts in education programs and services of high artistic quality and professionalism.

Applicant organizations are expected to be administered responsibly and to propose programs that can be completed within the grant period and within the projected budget.
