Hudson County has a long history of serving as the set for fabulous feature films. From classics like the iconic 1972 The Godfather to modern hits like 2019’s Joker, starring Joaquin Phoenix, many a movie has been made here.

583 Newark Ave Jersey City, NJ 07306
The six-story structure was originally built between 1906 and 1910. It is considered to be an outstanding example of the Beaux-Arts architectural style in the United States.
The central rotunda and the murals are an added bonus for film makers as well as the early 20th Century period courtrooms which evoke civic architecture from the last century.
2nd St and Bergenline Ave Union City / Jersey City
Shared by Union City and Jersey City, Washington Park has a rich history of providing an ideal location for leisure and recreational enjoyment; offering open space where these two cities meet, visitors can enjoy the green, passive areas with its shady and winding walkways. This particular plot was referred to as the “fair grounds” since visiting carnivals, circuses, and “Wild West” shows were staged there on a regular basis.

Columbus Park is a little natural oasis within the heart of Hoboken! Columbus Park has deep roots in the mile-square city, including two dedications for beloved Hoboken residents. The park features a historical structure referred to as the “Sun House”: an ornately-designed gazebo that includes a sunken garden.
930 John F. Kennedy Boulevard Bayonne, NJ 07002
Established in 1916, Stephen R. Gregg Park maximizes its nearly 100 acres of parkland in Bayonne by integrating active and passive recreation along the waterfront. Situated in Bayonne on the East bank of Newark Bay, the park offers a dramatic waterfront view along its half-mile promenade that a visitor wouldn’t want to miss! The park draws visitors to its picturesque backdrops along the stone structures and gazebo.
30-35 South Hackensack Ave, Kearny, NJ 07032
The Hudson County Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation Center’s purpose is to protect and serve the public. This core foundation has been built on safety, security and rehabilitation. The facility’s primary functions are to hold individuals that are awaiting arraignment, trial, conviction, or sentencing and assess the behaviors of the same through the programs that prepare those for re-entry into our communities.
279th and Bergenline Ave North Bergen, NJ 07047
With a land area of 167 acres, JJB Park is one of the largest and most beautiful of Hudson County’s parks, it is home to the 16-acre Woodcliff Lake and has an amazing view of the Manhattan skyline. It offers an impressive array of lighted sports fields and courts including 21 tennis courts, three basketball courts, three bocce courts, handball courts, three football fields, six volleyball courts, a little league field, and an exercise/cross country course. You can take in the sights within the park and the exquisite view from the cliffs along the 8 miles of walkways.

As the oldest and largest of the County Parks, Lincoln Park is truly the jewel of the Hudson County Park System! The Park’s East and West portions attract Hudson County residents of all ages and interests looking to enjoy open space in the midst of the urban landscape. Lincoln Park East’s 150 acres are home to numerous athletic facilities, children’s areas, historic monuments, meandering trails, and publicly-available Wi-Fi-internet access.
Laurel Hill Road Secaucus, NJ 07094
Nicknamed “Snake Hill” or “Fraternity Rock”, Laurel Hill Park’s defining feature of igneous rock mass was formed by volcanic action over 150 million years ago. Laurel Hill Park features two multi-purpose baseball/ football/ soccer fields, equipped with lights for evening play. The park also has a picnic area for visitors to enjoy an outdoor bite to eat, a boat launch, trails under the I-95 underpass, and views of the now-defunct DB Draw railroad swing bridge, built in 1889 by the New York, Lake Erie and Western Railroad.
Schyuler Ave & Davis Ave Kearny / Harrison 07029
The park combines fun, active space with natural, passive space in the towns of Harrison and Kearny; its 46 acres have a rich history as a natural area and place of relaxation in Hudson County. West Hudson is a great place to relax and take in the natural sights. The park’s major highlight is the 2-acre Fairy Lake, which is fed by fresh springs and rain runoff. In addition, visitors can enjoy a stroll through the park on the 4 miles of walkways, along the Chinese gazebo, and around the ornamental trellis structure.
John F. Kennedy Blvd West Bayonne, NJ 07002
The site of Mercer Park has a long history of recreational and natural use; it was originally a portion of Curries Woods, farmland near the border of Jersey City and Bayonne. Remaining largely undeveloped during the period of rapid growth before the turn of the century, residents of both cities would flock to this area to enjoy the green scenery and to relax. Its 6 1⁄2 acres offer walkways to stroll through the greenery and shady resting and picnic spots amongst the trees.
14th Street Hoboken, NJ 07030
As the 106-year-old 14th Street Viaduct was replaced in Hoboken, the County improved the land under the bridge with a new park. Vibrant LED lighting, decorative paving, landscaping, and new sports facilities and play areas have provided recreational space for residents in the northwest corner of the city and visitors from around the County.

The Hudson County Public Safety Training Center is a premier law enforcement training academy located in New Jersey. It is one of 16 law enforcement training academies certified by the New Jersey Police Training Commission. The Public Safety Training Center offers approximately 2000 hours of basic and advanced in-service courses and training to approximately 1000 police officers throughout the year.
